Derby First Christian Church MOPS Policies

MOPS is a faith based international organization that claims Jesus Christ as our foundation. MOPS is a Christ-centered support group, however MOPS is not a Bible study time. It’s also important to know that MOPS is not a Mom’s Day Out or children’s play group. Despite the name MOPS includes children from birth through Kindergarten. MOPS meetings involve inspiring & helpful speakers on mothering and women’s issues, creative activities & demonstrations as well as small group discussion time

  Faith Position Statement

MOPS International is a Christian non-profit organization that believes in working with local Christian churches/parachurches to maximize ministry opportunities to God’s Kingdom. MOPS programs are chartered in churches of many different denominations and Christian traditions, but all share the common desire to reach out with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to bring glory to God in everything.
 

  How much does it cost to join MOPS?

Our MOPS fee is $28 for the fall semester and $36 for the spring.. These fees cover child care and supplies for the moms and children.

To register please call Teresa at 788-3408 to receive more information and enrollment forms. Once you have paid fees, filled the forms out and mailed them back in you will be officially registered in MOPS and your children will be enrolled in the MOPPETS program.

“MOPS International Dues” of $20. (kindly paid by Derby First Christian) is the annual fee for MOPS International. “MOPS International Dues” entitles each mom to a one-year subscription to MOMSense magazine, weekly Mom-E-mails, a free book for mom and a VeggieTales DVD for the children. Great mothering information because we believe... mothering matters.
Dues are Non-refundable. (Some exceptions may apply)

Mothers who are Daycare Providers are asked to simply give accordingly and donate as led.

  What About the Kids?

While Moms meet together the children learn and play in their age appropriate MOPPETS class. There is a Coordinator for each age group and volunteers that are carefully screened by our MOPPETS Team Leader. These coordinators and volunteers guide children through fun and creative curriculum.
