The mission of the Women's Ministry is to provide women with
opportunities to:
-establish and strengthen their relationship with God,
-share the good news of Jesus Christ,
-develop and nurture friendships with one another, and
-use their God-given gifts and talents to serve others.

Bible
Studies/Small Groups meet weekly to study books of the Bible,
topical studies and learn how God's word relates to current issues.

Prayer
Groups meet on a regular basis to share and pray over concerns for
their families, friends, and the church body. There is also a prayer
chain that informs of prayer needs within the church body through email.

Moms in
Touch meets to pray specifically for their school age children,
their designated school and the teachers and staff of that school.

Encouraging
Hearts: Women's Mentoring Ministry pairs women who are more mature
in their faith and life experiences with younger women so that they
might offer encouragement, guidance, and friendship. Contact Jan Johnson

Quilt
Guild - meets monthly in
Fellowship Hall They learn basic techniques to create a variety of

Lunch
Bunch - The Lunch Bunch group meets on the 4th Thursday of each
month at a designated restaurant in the Derby area for lunch and

Scrapbooking
Group meets monthly to fellowship while each woman creates her
own memory scrapbook. Contact Gwen McVey 789-8824.
MOPs
International
is a support
group for mothers of preschoolers meeting the first and third Thursday
of every month. Children's activities are also provided. Contact Teresa

Helping
Hands is a committee of volunteers
who
provide meals to families in times of need, such as births, deaths, and
hospitalization. Contact Kristi Crawford 789-0806.
Funeral
Meals minister to bereaved families by helping
prepare and serve a meal for them on the day of the funeral. Contact

Reception
Committee is made up of
volunteers who setup, serve, and clean up for wedding and anniversary
receptions at the Educational Building or Powerhouse. Contact Pam Beard

Special
Events are planned four times a year for food, fellowship, fun and
of course spiritual growth. Volunteers are always needed to hostess,
